Review
A small and simple telephony application that will allow you to make and receive calls with Callcentric, an international VoIP provider using your broadband Internet connection. It is easy to install and there is no configuration required, it only asks for your Callcentric´s username and password.
It is intended to be a replacement of the classical home telephone, so there are not many new or interesting features about it, only the basic recording, do not disturb, automatic answer and hold buttons, but you will be able to make calls and receive them easily. You can´t configure any SIP or IAX accounts, so it doesn´t work with other PBX or service providers.
It works with Microsoft Windows and is compatible with the following codecs: GSM, G.729A, G.711 mu-law, G.711 A-law, among others.
If you only need the basic characteristics of a basic phone, then you will find it really usefull, but if you want some more advanced features like call transfer, conference, multiple calls or a softphone to connect with various providers or to your own PBX you should keep searching, because this is not the application you want. |
